Bahamas

Tropically yours

It was here that Christopher Columbus first landed in the New World, probably on one of the islands to the east of the archipelago.

The Bahamas has over 700 islands and more than a thousand islets, scattered over 1200 kilometers between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. A rainbow of waterfront lands fringed by white-sand beaches, coconut groves and mangroves. Offshore, some of the most extensive coral reefs on the planet and some of the most renowned diving spots. A Commonwealth Territory, the Bahamas are tropical paradise islands with a British twist, having remained under the British flag for over 200 years. Witness the forts, old cannons, plantations and brightly painted wooden houses. All this makes them particularly attractive and unforgettable.

Ideal for

Beach breaks, honeymoons, scuba diving, water sports, relaxation breaks.

Between us

  1. March, April and July are the busiest months. Expect large North American crowds.
  2. The hotel infrastructure in the Bahamas is top-notch, but also highly diversified, ranging from huge resorts (Atlantis Hotel) to refined, natural addresses.
  3. Independent since 1975, the Bahamas have nevertheless retained the Queen of England as their head of state.
  4. If you're looking for a nature break, opt for the Out Islands.

When to go?

A mild spring cradles the archipelago all year round. Most of the time, a sea breeze moderates the heat. Cooler weather from December to March.

Packing
