British Virgin Islands

British Virgin Islands

“Small is beautiful”

They're aptly named, with deserted beaches so heavenly you'll forget the rest of the world.

The almost uninhabited British Virgin Islands are havens of tranquillity. From the buccaneers' dens they were in the 17th century, they have become havens for yachts and sailing boats, as well as billionaires. Countless celebrities have bought property or even islands here. More arid than the other Antilles, their rugged terrain masks beaches that are often still unspoiled. In the villages, red roofs cover the huts, whose walls explode in a profusion of bright colors. Add to this a typically British cachet: red telephone booths, quiet little pubs. But the blue lagoon waters are a reminder that you shouldn't leave the Virgin Islands without a dip in paradise.

Ideal for

Seaside holidays, scuba diving, water sports, honeymoon, fishing.

Packing

Light, casual clothes in natural materials, shoes for walking on the sand and dressier outfits for the evening. Just bring something to protect yourself from a sudden downpour.
