Volcanoes, colonial cities, scorching dunes or humid forests, each island is a journey within a journey. One is green, windy and steep, while the other is arid, sun-scorched and flat. But there's one constant: the Cape Verdean population is warm, imbued with «morabeza», a blend of kindness and benevolence, lively and mixed, but above all passionate about music and dance. Of course, there's Cesária Evora, the barefoot diva who put Cape Verdean music on the world map. 3.
