Dominique

Nature island

Located between Martinique and Guadeloupe, it was discovered on a Sunday by Christopher Columbus, hence its name.

Dominica is a small island, not to be confused with the Dominican Republic. Wild but splendid, it was neglected for a long time due to its incredibly mountainous terrain and inextricable vegetation. A gift from heaven, it remains one of the most beautiful and natural of the Caribbean islands. This also explains why the last 3,000 Caribbean Indians found refuge here. Even when viewed from the sea, Dominica's high, hairy volcanic mountains are a breathtaking sight of majesty. In total contrast to the islands fringed with sandy beaches, people come here to dive, to watch whales and to hike along its tumultuous rivers.
