All the West Indies are dream destinations, but some are even more endearing than others: such is the case of Grenada and its little sisters, the Grenadines.
All the West Indies are dream destinations, but some are even more endearing than others: such is the case of Grenada and its little sisters, the Grenadines.
Grenada is a magnificent garden of spices: nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, everything grows here like nothing, just like bananas or cocoa. The interior, shaped by volcanoes, is carpeted with tropical forests, fertile valleys and gardens with rivers leading to white sandy beaches. The Grenadines, the tiny islands to the north of Grenada, are the true deserted islands of the West Indies. Less relief and even more beaches. Long the haunts of pirates and freebooters, some of these islands are now dotted with the estates of billionaires and royalty. And no less magnificent hotels on Bequia, Union, Palm Island and Moustique.
