India stirs, surprises, disturbs, amazes, but never leaves us indifferent.
India stirs, surprises, disturbs, amazes, but never leaves us indifferent.
A trip to India is a constant encounter with all extremes: the elegance of women in saris, the hustle and bustle of the cities, the shimmering colors and intoxicating spices, the fervor of the temples, the wealth of the palaces and the harshness of life in the slums. As you move away from the sprawling cities, you'll meet a smiling, welcoming population scattered across thousands of villages. You'll also be fascinated by the lush landscapes alternating between rice paddies and coconut groves and, above all, by the thousands of temples, stunning testimonies left by dynasties and maharajas. But be warned: seeing the whole of India, a country inhabited by almost one and a half billion people and 33 million gods, may take several lifetimes.
