The many Swiss specialities are enjoyed everywhere, but as a general rule, the best food is to be found in French-speaking and Italian-speaking Switzerland.

Each season offers a different range of activities. Skiing and snow sports in winter, hiking, city trips and outdoor sports from spring to autumn.

Packing

It all depends on the season, but you should always bring some warm clothes, even in summer. The mountains can be cool in any season. In winter, technical, waterproof clothing and, if you're going to the mountains, sturdy, non-slip footwear are essential.
